Luton Council confirm that armed police have been deployed to Tommy Robinson’s hometown to keep people safe from jihadis this Christmas.
Luton is a truly multicultural town, where 14.4% of the population is Pakistani, and 7% Bangladeshi. In fact, the majority of its residents being from a foreign ethnic background. However, it is often alleged to lack unity, and to be home to great division.
It is also religious diverse, with a 40% Christian population, and 1 in 4 residents being Muslim according to the National Office of Statistics.
There will be armed police in and around the town centre this festive season – there is no specific threat, @bedspolice is just making sure everyone is safe. ?
